The once iconic Motorola mobile - Motorola Razr - could make a comeback next month. The ultra-thin Flip Phone from Motorola was already quite angry in the early 2000s, even before Apple's iPhone and Samsung's Galaxy phones came on the market. In his new avatar, the Motorola Razr could be a foldable smartphone with a premium price, according to The Wall Street Journal. Lenovo, the owner of Motorola, could return the Razr smartphone with a folding display.

The report also states that Lenovo is working with US telecommunications company Verizon to launch the phone in February. The revamped Motorola Razr can be sold at $ 1,500 (approximately Rs. 1,04,300). That's a pretty high price for a device that screams nostalgia.

Motorola's own Motorola has not yet confirmed the report. The Motorola Razr was originally dubbed in 2004 as Razr V3. The mobile phone sets a new trend among young mobile phone users thanks to its ultra-thin, stylish design. The phone allegedly sold more than 130 million units in four years.

However, this is not the first time that Motorola and Verizon have tried to bring back the Razr brand for mobile phones. In 2011 and 2012, companies had been working on the introduction of Android smartphones using Droid Razr's thin form factor technology. The Droid Razr was the thinnest mobile phone in the world when it hit the market.

While the new Motorola Razr smartphone is still largely unclear, we expect a decent share of folding smartphones this year. Last week, at CES, we discovered the Royole FlexPai, the world's first folding smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy F is expected to debut shortly, while other companies are reportedly secretly working on their foldable phones and devices.

If Lenovo returns the Motorola Razr, it could lighten the Motorola brand again. One thing is certain: in 2019 we will see many foldable mobile phones.
